Playbusters Environmental Group consists of a mixture of young people, staff and volunteers who get together to discuss the environment and fun peojects that they can take part in. So far the group has been involved in recycling within the Playbusters office and is now expanding to reach more into the local community. The group has begun work at the Westhorn allotments, helping to create an environmentally friendly seating area using recyclable materials and a sustainable fuel BBQ (using coppiced wood).

The group has also visited Tapa Organic Coffee and Bakehouse in Dennistoun. The bakery is very proud of it's organic ingredients and produce and the visit was enjoyed by all.

Here is what one of the young people who visited had to say about Tapa:

"I thought it was quite nice cos when I first walked in you could tell that they all made the stuff themselves cos you could see them behind the counter making the bread and I thought it was quite a nice atmosphere. I liked drinking the John White juice - it was pure blackcurrant and apple juice, it was really really nice and it was pure fruit juice and nay sugar and anything. I like eating the carrot cake and it tasted really nice and I liked eating the bread and that and you didnt need butter or anything and I thought it was really nice. I'd really like to go again and take my mum"
